Upgrade firmware: dfu-util error

#1

Following the Luos Upgrade firmware guide for Mac/Linux

$ dfu-util -a 0 -s 0x08000000 -D Usb_0.0.2.bin

results in:

dfu-util: More than one DFU capable USB device found! Try `–list’ and
specify the serial number or disconnect all but one device

A solution is to specify the device

$ dfu-util -d 0483:df11 -a 0 -s 0x08000000 -D Usb_0.0.2.bin

device id is given by $dfu-util -l
eg:

Found DFU: [0483:df11] ver=2200, devnum=14, cfg=1, intf=0, path=“20-1”, alt=1, name="@Option Bytes /0x1FFFF800/01016 e", serial=“FFFFFFFEFFFF”
Found DFU: [0483:df11] ver=2200, devnum=14, cfg=1, intf=0, path=“20-1”, alt=0, name="@Internal Flash /0x08000000/064
0002Kg", serial=“FFFFFFFEFFFF”

Thanks about that @Didbo.

Indeed the first command you mention only work if you have one DFU device on your computer. It seems you have a device on your computer seen as DFU (probably a keyboard…).

This is the first time we see a computer with a DFU device inside, I will add it to the documentation, thank you.

After some test, I think Luos L0 board have all the same name, so your line :

dfu-util -d 0483:df11 -a 0 -s 0x08000000 -D module.bin

Should work in any case.
