Gitbook issues: images not shown in installation sections

#1

The installation manuals for Linux and Mac, e.g.
https://pollen-robotics.gitbooks.io/luos/content/installation_guide/linux.html
link to images on your site, e.g.

but gitbook does not show their contents.

Furthermore, what’s the best way to submit typos? Is there some sort of Pull Requests mechanism like github uses?

Hi @worrelsik and thanks for considering contribution to the documentation!

Do you mean the image does not show on you screen?

If yes, it might be that you are using a plugin that is blocking access to the webserver we store the image on. The image above is hosted here for example: https://www.pollen-robotics.com/uploads/installation_guide/macos/rustup_install_nightly.png

The documentation is hosted on the luos-documentation repository: https://github.com/pollen-robotics/luos-documentation

You can submit changes directly via pull requests.

Alternatively, if you have or create a gitbook account, you can directly comment on the https://pollen-robotics.gitbooks.io/luos.

When you hover your mouse over the text, a small comment box appears on the right of the text which allows you to add a comment

Bingo! Privacy Badger prevented the images showing on my screen.

OK, I’ll have a look every now and then.
Thanks!

Thanks, I had not noticed that, yet!
Seems to happen on a paragraph base (text preceded by a blank line).
